During the year, students will focus on the following:

  • Fractions, Decimals, Pre-Algebra, Ratio, Proportion, Measurement, Geometry and Statistics.

  • Astronomy, Atmosphere, Weather, Meteorology, Ecosystems, Cells, Animal forms, Biology of Plants – Classification, Physics – force and motion.

  • Grammar and punctuation, along with a variety of writing units including Creative Writing, Poetry, Business Letters, Narratives, Essays, and more.

  • Novels, reading and learning skills such as summarizing, note-taking, and evaluating literature.  Important elements such as plot, character, setting and theme are discussed, as well as learning new vocabulary and understanding figures of speech (simile, metaphor, hyperbole, etc.)

  • World geography, Ancient civilizations and Library studies.

  • Old Testament and Christ as the fulfillment of God’s promises
