Catholic School Accreditation

… a process for determining the quality of a school’s overall Catholic Identity and educational program.

A Milestone Worth Celebrating

One of the most significant accomplishments during the 2025-2026 school year was St. Joseph Catholic School's successful completion of the Western Catholic Educational Association (WCEA) accreditation process. Following an extensive self-study, review, and site visit, our school was granted accreditation for another six years.

Accreditation is much more than a checklist or compliance exercise. It is a comprehensive evaluation of every aspect of school life, including academic excellence, Catholic identity, student support, leadership, finances, facilities, and long-term planning. The process challenges schools to reflect honestly on their strengths, identify areas for growth, and create plans for ongoing improvement.

This achievement was made possible through the dedication and hard work of our principal, faculty, staff, school commission, parish leadership, students, and families. Over many months, teachers and staff invested countless hours gathering evidence, reviewing programs, analyzing data, and reflecting on how we can best serve our students now and into the future.

While we are proud to have earned accreditation for another six years, we also recognize that accreditation is not an endpoint. It is a commitment to continual growth. One of the key goals identified through our self-study is the development of a comprehensive three-to-five-year strategic plan focused on long-term financial stability and facility maintenance. This work will help ensure that St. Joseph Catholic School remains strong and vibrant for future generations of students.

We are grateful for the support of our parish and school community throughout this process and proud of the affirmation that St. Joseph Catholic School continues to provide a high-quality Catholic education rooted in faith, academic excellence, and service.
